Untold Conflict, part 2

Continuation of the backstory of Pegasus' conflict between Federation Underground and The Ebidium Dagger.
Untold Conflict, part 1

After the agreement between FU and TED was declared void, TED tried to calm things down. Extensive discussions spawned on the public communication channels. FU said they blamed TED for the squadrons used in the Sargas attack, and were going to ambush in TED space, and saying if TED was smart, they would do the same to them. Skirmishes between FU and TED happen more often, with several pilots of both sides invading the other's territory.

Further peace talks did not yield results; FU remained mostly silent over private comms. This continued up until early September, when TED decided they had enough of the silence, and sent several squadrons from Quaack into Sargas in order to successfully capture the last standing starbase there. TED said they would give it back if peace talks could be started. They specifically wanted to capture, in order to save the resources.
Federation Underground responded, again in silence, by recapturing the base.

A tactical failure, but TED still had squadrons on the base. Unfortunately, the squadrons were running out of resources. TED gave a 12 hour ultimatum for FU to respond to their initial demand. The deadline is reached, and extended, reached again, and extended again.
Eventually, FU responds with "we want war".
TED now had all the right reasons to use their squadrons, and destroy the last remaining Sargas starbase. Of course not before raiding it.

A few hours afterwards, a lot of squadrons were seen moving around Sargas, owned by Pestilence, a Dark Knight pilot. Because these squadrons were of the Bomber type, it became apparent that FU and DK were planning for war all along: Bomber squadrons need ~24 hours of charging their systems before they are usable, the conclusion being that these squads were hired before TED attacked the Sargas base.
Considering the number of squadrons, a serious offense what at hand, TED prepared by hiring their own squadrons and secure Quaack. But then movement was seen in the Empire Contingent...

To be continued...
